Areas of focus
I am a clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience working with teenagers and families. I specialize in treating generalized anxiety, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, depression, adjustment disorders, and trauma. I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I serve as the clinic’s primary evaluator, offering psychological testing and evaluations to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
As a parent, you may be concerned about your teen’s well-being and seeking guidance. My goal is to provide a supportive and collaborative environment where your teen can develop practical strategies for managing emotions, building self-esteem, and establishing healthy coping skills. Every teen is unique, and I tailor treatment goals to meet those individual needs.
Building a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship is fundamental to the process, particularly for teenagers who are navigating complex emotions. I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space where your teen feels heard, understood, and empowered to work through their challenges.
I understand that finding the right therapist can be an overwhelming process. I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation to discuss your teen’s specific needs and determine if we are a good fit. Please feel free to contact me with any questions – I’m happy to help.
